
Candied bacon
stuffing
INGREDIENTS

12 oz Bag of stuffing

3 Yellow onions, sliced

3 Tbsp olive oil
-
1 lb Bacon
-
Brown sugar
-
3 Apples diced
-
1 Cup chicken broth (could need more if thick)

1 Stick of butter
-
2 Tsp fresh thyme, chopped

Salt & pepper

Preparation

Slowly cook onions with oil in a skillet over low heat. Cook until caramelized, about 15 minutes, then set aside.

Arrange bacon on a foil-lined rimmed baking sheet. Sprinkle generously with brown sugar.

Bake at 350 until bacon is crispy, about 15 minutes. Allow to cool (do no transfer to paper towel, it will stick). Chop bacon.

Combine all ingredients in a medium-sized bowl and mix together (add more broth if needed).

Put in a 2 Quart greased casserole dish and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes until heated through and crispy on top.
