
Macaroni
&Cheese
INGREDIENTS

1/2 lb. Macaroni

2 cups hot milk
-
1/2 Stick of butter
-
1/4 cup Flour
-
(8 oz) 2 cups Gruyere, grated

1 tsp Salt (more if needed)

1/2 tsp Nutmeg
-
3/4 cup Bread Crumbs

Olive oil
-
(4 oz) 1 cup Cheddar, grated

Preparation

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add noodles and cook according to package

Melt 3 Tbsp butter in a medium pot. On low heat, add flour and whisk together for 2 minutes.

While whisking, add hot milk and cook for 1-2 minutes until it is thick and smooth.

​Remove from heat and add in cheese, 1 tsp salt and nutmeg (add more salt if needed).

Add in cooked noodles and stir well. Pour mac and cheese into a 1 1/2 Qt. baking dish.

In a small bowl, combine 1 Tbsp melted butter and bread crumbs, and sprinkle on top.
