Orange-Spiced

Sweet potatoes

INGREDIENTS

  • Medium-sized crockpot

  • 4 lbs Sweet potatoes, peeled and diced

  • 3/4 Cup packed brown sugar

  • 3/4 Cup butter, cut into small pieces

  • 1 1/2 Tsp cinnamon

  • 3/4 Tsp nutmeg 

  • 3/4 Tsp orange peel, grated

  • Juice of 1 medium orange

  • 3/4 Tsp salt

  • 1 1/2 Tsp vanilla 

Preparation

  • Place all ingredients into a crock pot. ​

  • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours until potatoes are tender. 

  • Serves approximately 8 people.
