Strawberry Balsamic Pizza

Ingredients

  • 8 oz strawberries quartered (about 1 ½ cups)

  • 2 Tbsp balsamic glaze

  • 1 premade 12-inch thin-crust pizza crust

  • ½ Tsp olive oil

  • 4 oz Fontina, shredded

  • 1/3 Cup ricotta

  • 1/8 Tsp black pepper

  • 1/3 Cup basil leaves, thinly sliced

  • Pinch of coarse salt

Preparation

Prep: Preheat oven to 425.


  • Brush edges of crust with olive oil, then place on a baking sheet. Sprinkle fontina in an even layer over crust. Bake until fontina melts and the edges start to brown. Remove from oven.


  • Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine ricotta, black pepper, and half the basil. Right after you take the crust out of the oven, place small dollops of the mixture onto crust. Top with the berries, remaining basil and salt and drizzle with balsamic glaze.


  •  Serve warm or at room temperature
